Bureau of Land Management Amends Regulations for Leasing of Solid Minerals Other Than Coal and Oil Shale

The Bureau of Land Management is updating its rules to simplify and clarify the leasing process for solid minerals like iron, copper, and gold, in line with President Clinton's efforts to reduce unnecessary regulations and improve government transparency.
