Airworthiness Directive Proposed for Industrie Aeronautiche e Meccaniche Model Piaggio P-180 Airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes a new airworthiness directive to require Industrie Aeronautiche e Meccaniche (I.A.M.) Model Piaggio P-180 airplane operators to revise their Airplane Flight Manuals to include procedures for activating the airframe pneumatic deicing boots, following reports of in-flight incidents and an accident caused by the failure to activate these boots in icing conditions.
