EPA Proposes Adequate Motor Vehicle Emissions Budgets for San Francisco Bay Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing that the motor vehicle emissions budgets for the San Francisco Bay Area, set in the 1999 ozone attainment plan, are sufficient for transportation conformity purposes. If approved, these new budgets will replace the existing ones and apply to the year 2000 and beyond, becoming the sole 1-hour ozone standard budgets for the Bay Area.
