EPA Proposes Administrative Settlement with MCI WORLDCOM, Inc. Over Clean Water Act Violations

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has entered into a consent agreement with MCI WORLDCOM, Inc. to resolve violations of the Clean Water Act, following the company's failure to prepare Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure plans for certain facilities storing diesel oil. The EPA is seeking public comment on the proposed settlement and final order.
