EPA Proposes Administrative Settlement with US WEST Communications, Inc. Over Clean Water Act Violations

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has entered into a consent agreement with US WEST Communications, Inc. to resolve violations of the Clean Water Act, following the discovery of unprepared Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure plans at seven facilities storing diesel oil in above ground tanks. The EPA is seeking public comment on the proposed final order and civil penalty assessment.
