BellSouth Corporation to Pay Civil Penalty for Clean Water Act Violations

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has entered into a consent agreement with BellSouth Corporation to resolve violations of the Clean Water Act, including failing to prepare a Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure plan for five facilities storing diesel oil in above ground tanks, and has assessed a civil penalty of $5,000.
