EPA Proposes to Grant Rhodia's Petition to Exclude Hazardous Waste from Lists

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to grant a petition submitted by Rhodia, Incorporated Houston, to exclude filter-cake sludge generated at its Houston facility from the lists of hazardous wastes. The EPA will evaluate waste-specific information provided by Rhodia to determine if the waste is nonhazardous and if the waste process will substantially reduce the risk of hazardous constituents migrating.
