Belgium Added to BSE-Infected Regions, US Import Restrictions Remain

The US has finalized a rule to keep Belgium on its list of regions with bovine spongiform encephalopathy, following a detection of the disease in a Belgian cow, and will continue to restrict imports of ruminants and products from the country to minimize the risk of introducing the disease into the US.
