Luxembourg Added to BSE-Infected Regions, US Import Restrictions Remain in Place

The US has finalized a rule adding Luxembourg to the list of regions where bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) exists, following the detection of the disease in a Luxembourg cow, and will continue to prohibit the importation of ruminants and certain products from the country to reduce the risk of introducing BSE into the US.
