DOT Secretary Rescinds Delegation to FHWA, Redelegates to New Office of Motor Carrier Safety

The Secretary of Transportation has rescinded the authority of the Federal Highway Administrator to oversee motor carrier safety and redelegated it to the Director of a new Office of Motor Carrier Safety within the Department of Transportation, allowing the department to maintain most of its existing safety functions.
