HUD to Use Formula for Allocating Section 8 Housing Assistance

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will use a specific formula to allocate housing assistance for Section 8 tenant-based housing assistance contracts that are set to expire, following a negotiated rulemaking process as mandated by law.
