Medicare Program; Inpatient Hospital Deductible and Hospital and Extended Care Services Coinsurance Amounts for 2000

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced the inpatient hospital deductible and coinsurance amounts for Medicare beneficiaries in 2000. Starting January 1, 2000, Medicare Part A will have a deductible of $776, with daily coinsurance rates of $194 for days 61-90, $388 for lifetime reserve days, and $97 for days 21-100 in extended care services.
