EPA Announces Public Hearing for Proposed Emission Standards for Highway Vehicles and Engines

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is holding a public hearing to discuss its proposed rule to implement new emission standards for vehicles and engines manufactured from 2004 and later, as well as a revision to the definition of light-duty trucks. The proposed rule was signed by EPA Administrator on October 6, 1999, and will be published in the Federal Register prior to the hearing.
