EPA Releases Preliminary Risk Assessments for Organophosphate Pesticide Chlorpyrifos

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has made preliminary risk assessments for chlorpyrifos available to the public, starting a 60-day comment period. The assessments are part of the EPA's process for making reregistration eligibility decisions and tolerance reassessments under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (FQPA).
