Bull Trout Listed as Threatened Throughout Contiguous United States
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has determined that all bull trout populations in the contiguous United States are threatened, with five distinct population segments recognized for conservation purposes. These segments, including the Coastal-Puget Sound and St. Mary-Belly River populations, are geographically isolated and lack genetic exchange due to natural and human-made barriers.
