The US Army has prepared a Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the disposal and reuse of Fort Chaffee in Arkansas, following the Base Closure and Realignment Act of 1990, which mandated the closure of the base due to its no longer needed status by the Department of Defense.
