EPA Finds Adequate Motor Vehicle Emissions Budgets for New York State Portion of New York-New Jersey-Connecticut Severe Ozone Nonattainment Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has determined that the motor vehicle emissions budgets for volatile organic compounds and nitrogen oxides in New York State's 2002 and 2005 rate of progress plans are sufficient for transportation conformity purposes, while the 2007 attainment demonstration plans are inadequate, allowing the state to use the former for future conformity determinations.
