Boeing 737 Airworthiness Directive to Prevent Electrical Fires During Fueling
The FAA has issued an airworthiness directive requiring Boeing 737-100, -200, -300, -400, and -500 series airplanes to install or replace transient suppression diodes to prevent electrical fires during fueling. The directive aims to address incidents of short circuits and overheating of the diodes, which can lead to fires at the refueling receptacle.
