Coast Guard Proposes Safety Zones for Oil and Gas Platforms in Gulf of Mexico

The US Coast Guard is proposing to establish safety zones around seven high-production oil and natural gas platforms in the Outer Continental Shelf in the Gulf of Mexico to reduce the risk of collisions, oil spills, and natural gas releases.
