EPA Proposes Prospective Purchaser Agreement for Circle Smelting Corporation Superfund Site

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing a Prospective Purchaser Agreement and Covenant Not to Sue for the Circle Smelting Corporation Superfund Site, aiming to encourage reuse and redevelopment of the property, creating jobs and economic growth, while preventing the site from remaining abandoned. The agreement would provide the prospective purchaser with protection from EPA liability and contribution protection.
