FAA Proposes Changes to Airworthiness Directive for British Aerospace Model BAe 146-100A, -200A, and -300A Series Airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed a new airworthiness directive (AD) that would require the installation of new placards and modify the Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) to address engine power rollback during flight in icing conditions, a condition that could result in insufficient power to sustain flight. The proposed AD would supersede an existing AD that currently requires special procedures to be followed when operating at certain flight levels with the engine and airframe anti-ice switch ON.
