Re-establishment of Tolerances for Emergency Exemptions of 2,4-D on Wild Rice

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has re-established a time-limited tolerance for residues of the herbicide 2,4-D in wild rice, allowing its use on the crop. This tolerance was previously set to expire on August 31, 1998, and is in response to an emergency exemption granted by the EPA under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).
