U.S. Department of Energy Publishes Guidelines for Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Repository

The U.S. Department of Energy has announced public hearings and a contact person for its proposed rulemaking to evaluate the suitability of Yucca Mountain, Nevada as a site for a nuclear waste repository, following a 75-day public comment period that began on November 30, 1999.
