FDIC Proposes Amendment to Deposit Insurance Regulations for Foreign Branch Deposits

The FDIC is proposing to amend its deposit insurance regulations to clarify that deposits in foreign branches of US banks outside the US are not FDIC-insured, aiming to preserve confidence in the deposit insurance system and protect the Deposit Insurance Fund.
