EPA Proposes Approval of Delaware's Air Quality Implementation Plan for Philadelphia Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve Delaware's State Implementation Plan (SIP) for the Philadelphia-Wilmington-Trenton ozone nonattainment area, which includes a demonstration of one-hour ozone attainment. The plan, submitted by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) in 1998, must be revised to include an adequate motor vehicle emissions budget and rules for reducing nitrogen oxide emissions to support attainment.
