ATF Issues Temporary Regulations for Tobacco Importation Restrictions and Minimum Manufacturing Requirements

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) has issued temporary regulations to implement provisions of the Balanced Budget Act of 1997, including restrictions on tobacco importation, marking requirements, and penalties for non-compliance, effective January 1, 2000.
