Florida Legislation Affects Cigarette Tax Compliance

The state of Florida has implemented new regulations for the computation and payment of floor stocks tax on federally subsidized or tax-determined cigarettes, which must be held for sale on January 1, 2000 and January 1, 2002, as part of the Balanced Budget Act of 1997.
