U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Lists Sidalcea oregana var. calva as Endangered

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has determined that the Wenatchee Mountains checker-mallow, a plant species found in Washington's Chelan County, is endangered due to habitat loss and fragmentation, as well as competition from invasive plants and human activities.
