RSPA to Issue NPRM for Harmonizing Hazardous Materials Regulations with IAEA Standards

The RSPA is considering a rulemaking proposal to align the Hazardous Materials Regulations with the International Atomic Energy Agency's safety standards for transporting radioactive materials, as outlined in the 1996 edition of IAEA publication ST-1, in an effort to harmonize requirements and ensure compliance with international standards.
