Nuclear Energy Institute Petition for Rulemaking Denied by US NRC

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has rejected a petition by the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) to modify regulations governing the decommissioning of nuclear sites, but will provide guidance to clarify criteria for alternate decommissioning schedules.
