Nuclear Regulatory Commission Extends Public Comment Period for Yucca Mountain High-Level Radioactive Waste Repository

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has extended the public comment period for a proposed rule on disposing of high-level radioactive wastes in a geologic repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada, from May 10 to June 30, 1999, following requests from the public for more time to review the complex technical information.
