NRC Announces Availability of Draft Report on Materials Licenses

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is announcing the availability of a draft report, NUREG-1556, which provides consolidated guidance on materials licenses, including change of control and bankruptcy procedures involving byproduct, source, or special nuclear material. The NRC is seeking public comment on the draft report, which is part of a broader effort to redesign its materials licensing process using Business Process Redesign techniques.
