Nuclear Regulatory Commission Amends Regulations for Devices Containing Byproduct Material

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is updating its regulations to require general licensees who possess certain measuring devices containing byproduct material to report information about these devices to the NRC. This rule aims to ensure that these devices are properly maintained and transferred, and not discarded, to minimize risks to the public and property.
