Domestic Licensing of Production Utilization Facilities; Risk- Informed Revisions, Option 3 (SECY-98-300)

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has instructed the staff to pursue a study to explore changes to the body of the part 50 regulations, to incorporate risk-informed attributes which is Option 3 in Secy-98-300. This study will result in recommendations to the Commission on any specific regulatory changes that should be pursued, and the corresponding schedules and resource needs. The staff intends to conduct a workshop to solicit information related to these changes.
