NRC Delays Effective Date of Revised Spent Fuel Storage Cask Regulations

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is delaying the effective date of a revised rule amending the List of Approved Spent Fuel Storage Casks to include Amendment No. 1 to the Certificate of Compliance for the Pacific Sierra Nuclear Associates (PSNA) VSC-24 cask listing, originally set for December 6, 1999, due to public comments.
