WTO Consultations Regarding Romania's Use of Minimum Import Prices for Customs Valuation Purposes

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) is requesting consultations with Romania over its 1997 Customs Code and Ministry of Finance General Customs Directive, which allegedly establish arbitrary minimum and maximum import prices for various products, and impose burdensome procedures for investigating import prices below the minimum threshold.
