U.S. Commission Amends Carpet and Rug Flammability Standards

The U.S. Commission is revising the flammability standards for carpets and rugs, as well as small carpets and rugs, by updating the laundering procedure to ensure fire retardant treatments remain effective during cleaning, addressing changes in detergent availability and washing machine operating characteristics.
