FDA Proposes Reclassification of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripter

The FDA is seeking public comment on a proposal to reclassify the extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter from Class III to Class II for use in treating kidney and ureteral stones, following a recommendation from the Gastroenterology and Urology Devices Advisory Panel.
