FDA Amends Color Additive Regulations for Sutures

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is updating its regulations to allow the safe use of a specific copper-based color additive in non-absorbable sutures for general and eye surgery, in response to a petition from medical device manufacturer Ethicon, Inc.
