FDA Approves New Boiler Water Additives for Food Safety

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended its regulations to permit the use of sorbitol anhydride esters as an anticorrosive agent in boilers where steam may come into contact with food, following a petition from Nalco Chemical Co. (Nalco).
