FDA Amends Regulations for Safe Use of Tetrakis(hydroxymethyl)phosphonium Sulfate in Paper and Paperboard

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has updated its food additive regulations to allow the safe use of a chemical called tetrakis(hydroxymethyl)phosphonium sulfate in paper and paperboard products that come into contact with food, following a petition from chemical company Albright & Wilson, Ltd.
