Risk-Based Capital Standards; Concentration of Credit Risk and Risks of Nontraditional Activities
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) are issuing a final rule to update the risk-based capital standards for insured banks to better account for credit risk concentration and non-traditional activities. The rule aims to ensure that banks have sufficient capital to manage these risks.
