US Department of State to Host Public Meeting on Persistent Organic Pollutants Negotiations

The US Department of State will host a public meeting on November 21, 2000, to discuss preparations for the fifth and final negotiations on a global agreement to address the release of certain persistent organic pollutants (POPs) through the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), scheduled to take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, from December 4-9, 2000.
