US Agencies Publish Final Guidelines for Safeguarding Customer Information

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Reserve, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and Office of Thrift Supervision have published final guidelines to protect customer information, implementing sections 501 and 505(b) of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and rescinding Year 2000 standards for safety and soundness.
