Federal Trade Commission Amends Appliance Labeling Rule for Clothes Washers

The Federal Trade Commission has updated the Appliance Labeling Rule by introducing new ranges of comparability for clothes washers, replacing the previous ranges published on March 27, 2000, which will become effective on July 14, 2000. Manufacturers are not required to use the older ranges.
