Exemption Granted Concerning Trade Regulation Rule on Care Labeling of Textile Wearing Apparel and Certain Piece Goods
The Federal Trade Commission granted an exemption to Esprit de Corp from its Trade Regulation Rule on care labeling of textile wearing apparel and certain piece goods, allowing the company to distribute apron camisoles without permanent care labels. The Commission determined that a permanent label would impair the appearance and usefulness of the garments, but still requires care instructions to be provided to consumers.
