Revisions Regarding Tying Restrictions
The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is seeking public comment on a proposed exception to the anti-tying restrictions of section 106 of the Bank Holding Company Act Amendments of 1970 and the Board's Regulation Y. The proposed amendment would establish a "safe harbor" permitting a bank to offer a credit card that can be used to make purchases from a retailer affiliated with the bank.
