Federal Reserve Proposes Rule to Allow Financial Holding Companies to Act as Finders

The Federal Reserve, in consultation with the Treasury Department, is proposing a rule that would permit financial holding companies to engage in 'finder' activities, such as matching buyers and sellers for transactions, and distinguish between products offered by third parties and those offered by the company itself.
