DoD to Adopt New Automated Distance Calculation Product for Freight Movements Program

The Department of Defense (DoD) plans to implement the Defense Table of Official Distances (DTOD) as its standard source for distance information worldwide, replacing existing products such as the Rand McNally TDM Milemaker System and the Household Goods Carriers' Mileage Guide, in an effort to streamline its freight program.
