US Secretary Proposes Changes to Federal Student Loan Programs for Peace Corps Volunteers

The US Secretary proposes to simplify the economic hardship deferment application process for Peace Corps volunteers, allowing them to automatically qualify for deferments while serving in the Peace Corps, and eliminating the need for written requests for loan deferments.
